When are RSVPs requested by?

We have a pretty good sense that everyone is going to make it, but the venues will appreciate knowing firm head counts and dietary restrictions. If you can confirm your attendance by October 1, we would appreciate it.

When is the deadline to book in the hotel block?

The hotel block is held until 30 days prior to the event, so please book by September 30 to be safe. You can find the booking link here

Do you have a registry?

We are not planning on having a registry. Having you present with us is the most important thing. If you care to support our honeymoon fund (teaser: we’re thinking Japan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines), we will have that set up by the time your printed invitation arrives.

What is the guidance on attire?

If you are joining us on Friday evening, we recommend smart cocktail attire.

For Saturday, we invite you to match our level of extra. While this will not be a Halloween-themed wedding, we encourage everyone to wear an outfit that makes you feel elevated, elegant, and extraordinary. We’re calling it ‘Red Carpet Ready.’

We have illustrations as a reference for formality.

Will anything be taking place outdoors?

Weather permitting, we will hold our ceremony outdoors on the penthouse deck overlooking Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River. Additionally, we may be out on the patio at Kasama for after-dinner drinks, desserts, and conversation.

What is the plan for Friday?

Everyone is welcome to join us at the Welcome Reception at Albatross Wines on Friday evening. Don’t let the Goose Island location dissuade you, this is our go-to wine merchant.

We’re planning on having something more relaxed—light bites and great wine. Might be a few surprises, too, but we’re still considering options.

What time should we plan to arrive at Sky-Line Club?

We ask that you plan to arrive at Sky-Line Club beginning at 3 pm. We’ll take a few minutes to gather with light refreshments before beginning the ceremony.

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

We’ll transition right from the ceremony into cocktail hour and light bites while Matthew and Patrick have a moment to themselves and take a few family pictures. We won’t be doing too many day-of photos—we want to enjoy the party, too!

What is Kasama?

Kasama is one of our favorite restaurants, and we are thrilled to share it with our family and friends. As the world’s first Michelin-starred Filipino restaurant, Kasama has risen to international fame for their contemporary takes on traditional dishes. We will be enjoying Kasama’s interpretation of a Kamayan, the traditional Filipino celebration feast.

Kasama is designing this dining experience for the first time for our wedding. It’ll be a one-of-a-kind evening from one of the hottest restaurants in the world.

Can you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?

Yes, both Sky-Line Club and Kasama will accommodate anything you need. Please be sure to specify any restrictions in your RSVP.

May I bring a +1?

This will be a small and intimate wedding. We are limited on capacity by the venues, so we kindly request the presence of invited guests only.

Will transportation be provided?

Yes, we will have transportation arranged for everyone from Sky-Line Club to Kasama and from Kasama to the after-party at the Four Seasons hotel.
